Why did Barling Magna Primary academy need 3pr?

Barling Magna is a small but busy village and the primary school is located on the main road leading through the area. Cars parked here stop the flow of traffic and make it dangerous for children to cross the busy and bendy road. There were also issues with vehicles parking on the School Keep Clear markings and double yellow lines outside the school gates.

3PR has educated both children and parents about restrictions and discouraged dangerous or inconsiderate parking. The scheme has worked well alongside the school’s other initiatives to help our environment and encourage sustainable travel. It is managed by the school’s Talk for Change leaders, who are responsible for monitoring the 3PR zone and counting tokens to award the winning house.
